Drug and Alcohol Detox Program
Fees for Detox have been cut in half! Our 5 day program, which usually costs $5,000, has been discounted to $2,500. Our 10 day program, normally $9,000, is now only $4,500!
The River Source prides itself on the high quality drug and alcohol addiction treatment that it provides its clients. Our professional staff of medical doctors and certified therapists works to personalize and monitor each patient’s addiction recovery and detox plan. Additionally, one of our Naturopathic Doctors will monitor your progress throughout your stay.
The River Source’s comprehensive detoxification program typically takes 3 to 10 days. Our integrated approach to detoxification focuses on both medical and naturopathic treatments aimed at minimizing patient pain and discomfort during the detox period. As opposed to many competitors who provide their staffs with minimal training on how to handle a patient’s detoxification and withdrawal process, the River Source offers both ongoing supervision and expert care through our Licensed Physicians and Therapists who specialize in addictive medicine.
Our specially trained Doctors focus on making our patients as comfortable as possible during the detoxification period. Their extensive knowledge of withdrawal and detoxification and their experience
helping hundreds of patients go through the difficult process gives them the insight as to which medications, activities and treatments will best help each patient through this difficult phase. By the time this period is over, patients will no longer be on any drugs.
Our substance abuse detoxification program provides patients with medical supervision, nutritional IV therapy, life coaching and group therapy. We employ our specially crafted Sauna Detox with our Nutritional IV Therapy in order to remove toxins from the body and replace them with vitamins and nutrients. Throughout this process, our therapists will also be speaking at length with the patient in order to gauge the underlying psychiatric and psychological factors that contributed to his or her addiction.
Following the detoxification period, our certified Doctors and Counselors will present the patient with the options they best see fit to insure an ongoing recovery.
Brain Training / Neurofeedback
The River Source Treatment Center is pleased to provide its patients with "Brain Training (Neurofeedback)." Brain Training helps addicts overcome their chemical dependency on drugs and alcohol as well as a host of other ailments, including:
• Anxiety
• Depression
• Panic Attacks
• ADD/ADHD
• PTSD
• Brain Injury
• Learning Disorders
• Pain Mitigation
• Dementia
"Brain Training" often takes as little as 2 sessions to relieve the urges that fuel addictions. This treatment therapy, combined with counseling and other services provided by The River Source, gives patients the tools required to permanently change destructive habits.
What is Brain Training? It’s Neurofeedback.
Neurofeedback, also known as NeuroTherapy, EEG Biofeedback, Brainwave Biofeedback or Brain Training is
a drug free approach to improving those aspects of a patient’s life that affect addiction, including improving attention, enhancing moods, and reducing impulsivity. By using non-invasive computer technology, neurofeedback focuses on monitoring brain wave activities and encourages healthy function. It trains the brain to become more alert, flexible and calm. Cutting edge technology is used to read brain waves and provide instant feedback through video images and/or sounds. The feedback acts as a type of exercise regime for the brain and provides patients with the same benefits that hours in the gym provide to muscle groups. Through regular brain training, patients will see improved cognitive flexibility, increased intellectual functioning, and better emotional control. Patients can get an initial brainwave assessment upon entering our treatment centers.
How Do I Get Started?
A brainwave patterns or brain regulation assessment is completed before commencing the Neurofeedback training sessions. Brainwave activity is measured with an electroencephalograph (EEG). EEG biofeedback equipment connects to individuals with sensors that are placed on the ears and scalp. The brain waves are analyzed by a computer that attaches to the EEG equipment and are observed on a computer monitor. The data from this assessment is then analyzed along with a variety of other information gained from the client interview. A training plan is generated based on all of the information gathered.
Is Neurofeedback New?
Neurofeedback has been practiced and studied for over 40 years and a number of positive outcomes have been observed from this unique therapy. Many patients have reported undergoing neurofeedback to treat one problem and then realizing after treatment began that the therapy also helped other areas of their life that they hadn’t anticipated being affected. It is clear, however, that neurofeedback has been shown to be particularly effective in treating certain ailments and chronic problems. Some of the areas where neurofeedback treatment has been particularly effective are:
Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Treatment: Neurofeedback has shown to be helpful in preventing relapse in individuals dealing with drug and alcohol addiction.
Anxiety: Anxiety is sometimes caused by a brain that is working at too furious a pace and needs to be calmed down. Neurofeedback has helped some people deal with anxiety issues, particularly those types of anxiety that are more medical or genetic in origin.
Depression: Depression typically involves problems in the frontal lobes that respond to brainwave training. Neurofeedback can help patients reduce the amount of medication they typically need to consume.
Constitutional Hydrotherapy
Constitutional hydrotherapy is a unique method of treatment that entails applying hot and cold compresses in an alternating manner to the torso and abdomen. This treatment improves recovery from both acute and chronic illnesses by stimulating the vis medicatrix naturae, the body’s natural ability to heal itself.
The hot and cold compresses cause a widening and restricting of the blood vessels, which increases circulation and immune functioning. The increased circulation facilitates detoxification and helps excrete toxins from the body more effectively. Among the many benefits listed by patients receiving constitutional hydrotherapy are improved sleep, increased energy levels, decreased recovery time from illnesses and a peaceful detoxification experience.
